ROAD BOARDS.
__ <& ' SPREYDON. Tho Sorcydon Road Board met on Thursday ; present —Messrs J. Down (chairman), W. H. Atkinson, L. H. Clark, W. R. Gahagau and T. Thornton. ' Complaints were received as to tho state of a drain running through the Bowden Estate, and it was agreed to refer tho mattor to the Drainage Board. Tho Board authorised the signing of forty debentures of £SOO each from the New Zealand Stato Guaranteed Advances Board for tho purpose of streot improvements. It was resolved, in reply to a petition from ratepayers, to have a street lamp erected at the comer of Lyttelton and Neville Streets. It was reported that tho receints for Mav had been £2OB 8s Sd. Accounts for £l4O 12s lOd were passed for payment.
