Sir George lleid and tho members of tho Council of the Rifle Association were present at the reception of the Commonwealth team.

Lord Cheylesmore paid a tribute to the public spirit of tho citizens of the Commonwealth in subscribing for the Empire trophy. Ho read a message from King George, heartily welcoming the Australians upon their arrival in the Mother Country. The captain of tho team replied, oxpressing loyal appreciation of the gracious message.
