RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Thursday. The shower of rain which foil early in tho morning left the trades rather slow, and as steady rain set in about six o’clock’, they grew rapidly worso. Most of tho horses out before breakfast were galloped on ihe sand, track, but it was not fit for fast work after the interval, and tho grass track, which was also open for fast work, was patronised by all the late arrivals. Kilwinning, on tho plough, galloped a mile in lmin 60seo. Flitaway and Madam Madcap wore together at the end of six furlongs, which occupied lmin 18 2-ssec. Husbandman, with Fasnnkyle as a companion over tho last six, galloped seven furlongs ill lmin 33 2-asec. Ingod'a jumped off at the mile and a quarter mark, and after starting slowly she ran homo the last mile in lmin 43sec, finishing well. Counter-mine beat Tenterhook over fivo furlongs in lmin 4 l-u3ec. Sapience occupied olsco over four furlongs, which Windrush equalled up the back. Gwendolina ran a mile, and a quarter in 2ruin 14scc, and Paragon defeated Sharpshooter over six furlongs in lmin 20eec. Guianforte was too good for Formless at the end of live furlongs, which they ran in lmin 5 2-ssec. Tho Libyan and Gold Braid galloped a milo in lmin 49seo. Cannonier registered a similar performance, easily defeating Windgun and Prayer Wheel, but Windgiui had a lot in hand at tho finish.
