RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Thursday. The shower of rain which foil early in tho morning left the trades rather slow, and as steady rain set in about six o’clock’, they grew rapidly worso. Most of tho horses out before breakfast were galloped on ihe sand, track, but it was not fit for fast work after the interval, and tho grass track, which was also open for fast work, was patronised by all the late arrivals. Kilwinning, on tho plough, galloped a mile in lmin 60seo. Flitaway and Madam Madcap wore together at the end of six furlongs, which occupied lmin 18 2-ssec. Husbandman, with Fasnnkyle as a companion over tho last six, galloped seven furlongs ill lmin 33 2-asec. Ingod'a jumped off at the mile and a quarter mark, and after starting slowly she ran homo the last mile in lmin 43sec, finishing well. Counter-mine beat Tenterhook over fivo furlongs in lmin 4 l-u3ec. Sapience occupied olsco over four furlongs, which Windrush equalled up the back. Gwendolina ran a mile, and a quarter in 2ruin 14scc, and Paragon defeated Sharpshooter over six furlongs in lmin 20eec. Guianforte was too good for Formless at the end of live furlongs, which they ran in lmin 5 2-ssec. Tho Libyan and Gold Braid galloped a milo in lmin 49seo. Cannonier registered a similar performance, easily defeating Windgun and Prayer Wheel, but Windgiui had a lot in hand at tho finish.

Prim, on the grass, galloped nino furlongs in 2min 0 -2-ssec, the last, mile occupying lmin 47 2-ssec. Tiaraed sprinted half a mile in 52scc, Martine accomplishing a similar task in 50 4-sscc. Ratepayer took lmin 40sec over seven furlongs, and Luperin did the same journey in lmin 36 2-osec. Among the other horses out were Pretty Nell, Zerniia, Leonardo, St Kevin, Giovanni aud Jean. After breakfast Veda galloped a mile in lmin 51 l-ssec. Castilla bent Aunt Sallyover five furlongs, the lost half-mile taking SSsec. Loyola’s task was a mile, the last seven furlongs occupying lmin 33sec. Shillelagh covered a mile -in lmin 47 2-ssec. Broadsword dashed over six furlongs up the back in lmin 19 2-s;c-c. Kora gaKoped halt a mile in 54 2-sscc, a performance which Craig Athol and Rangimarie equalled, Ideate leaving a similar distance ..behind easily m 53 3-ssec. White Cockade beat Obligate over five furlongs in lmin Tsec, and True Knight was much too good for Isfithsdal© over the samo distance, in lmin 7 l-ssec. Useful to light tasks were accomplished by Rescued, Southern Cross, Inchbonny, Eaglestone, Miss Frv, Grand Slam and Narrangarie.
