Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.10 a.m. FRIDAY, MARCH 18. For_Dnneain and Invercargill, per Moeraki, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.45 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Wakatu, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 5.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, also Fiji, New South Wales and Queensland (due Sydney March 25), per Mararoa, to connect with Wimmera, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 pm.; guard’s yap, 5.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MARCH 19. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Maori, p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. And per Tarawera, at 7.20 p.m.; late feo lotters, 7.35 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.15 p.m. train. For Australian States, via Hobart, per express to connect with Moeraki, at 11.10 a.m.; late feo lelters, 11.25 a.m.; guard’s van 1155 a.m. train.
The next mail from tho United Kingdom, via Brindisi, is due in Christchurch ; Letter portion 9 a.m., via Auckland, newspapers, etc., at 5.30 p.m., via Bluff, on March 22. Mails for the Australian States, etc., also Eastern States of tho United States of America and Canada, per Warrimoo, close at Wellington to-day at 2.30 p.m. NOTE.—A post office will be opened at Tokama, now known as White Rock Station from Monday, March 21.
