The following is the Rev D. C. Bates’s summary and forecast:—Heavy showers have fallen in many parts, and, though improving, cloudy and misty, weather has prevailed. Thero lias been little movement of the barometer in the north, but in the south a steady rise has taken place. South of New Plymouth and Nnriier moderate southerly winds havo prevailed. Present indications still favour a temporary rise in the barometer, with moderate southerly windß, changing by west to northerly, after twenty-four hours. Cloudy and unsettled weather prohablo generally, foggy at timoG around the coasts. MR PAULIN’S FORECAST. Mr Paulin's prediction, telegraphed yesterday afternoon, is as follows: South-east to north-east winds; line for twenty-four hours.
