IO THE EIHTOJS Sir, —Through tho kindness of Messrs Fuller and Sons the Christchurch Opera House has been placed at the service of tho Trades Council Committee -for the Unemployed free of any cost for one night, in order to do something to rcfievo tho distress caused by tho enforced idleness of a large number of persons, many of whom are bends of large families, at present out of work in Christchurch. The committee have accepted the offer and propose to hold a "sacred concert" at an early date. Wo therefore confidently make a special appeal to artists, instrumental or vocal, who are willing to give their services for such a deserving cause to communicate to the undersigned by Monday next.—Wo are. etc..
