After the review of the- East Lancashire Territorials, King ffidward, replying to an address, reminded the district that it had witnessed in t/ime past many conflicts between hostile forces. "I am confident," ho said, " that the patriotic spirit of my people is as strong afi over, and that no effort will be wanting to prepare for any rusk, however remote.''
