EGG-LAYING COMPETITIONS.
LINCOLN COLLEGE. The result of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's fifth egg-laying competition to May 6 shows that the total number of eggs for the week was 466, increasing the grand total to 2193. The leading pons were :—Messrs Ha.wko and Shaw's White Leghorns (22), 120; Mrs James Mills's White Leghorns (20), 118; Mr G. H. Robinson's White Leghorns (28), 105; "New Zealand Poultry Journal Institute's White Leghorns (17), 100; Miss E. Hearfield's White Leghorns (16), 89; Brackcnfield Poultry Farm's White Legnorus (24), 85; Mr F. R. Cameron's White Leghorns (32), 77; Mr A. B. Menzies's White Leghorns (14), 77; ISI r W. A. Nixon's White Leghorns (14), 77; Mr J. Ashton's Silver Wyandottes (21), 75; Messrs B. Willis and Son's White Leghorns (12), 74; Mr A. Petrie's White Leghorns (10), 69. Tho leading totals for the week wore:—F. R. Cameron 32. G. R. Robinson 28, Brackonfielu Poultry Farm 24, W. Balch 23. Hawke and Shaw 22, A. R. Browne 22, J. Ashton 21, Mrtf J.
