SAMARITAN HOME.

FINANCIAL STRESS REMOVED

REQUISITE AMOUNT SUBSCRIBED The financial difficulties of the Samaritan Home haye been overcome by additions to the contributions of voluntary subscribers. A little leas than £SO was needed when the Board of Trustees met on Monday, and the meeting was adjourned to allow the treasurer to report regarding the finances of the Home on March 31, and to allow a further canvass for contributions to be made. In all, £IOO was needed to enable tho Trustees to fulfil the obligations of last year, and a similar amount will have to be subscribed before March 31. 1910. Last evening Mr O. Hastings Bridge, who, with Mrs S. F. Wilson, represents the subscribers, stated that the necessary amount had been obtained. Ho did not know the exact amount received, but it was sufficient to relieve the trustees from their difficulties.-
