NORTHERN. The committee of the Northern Ag» rieultural and Pastoral Association met at Rangiora yesterday afternoon. There was an attendance of fifteen, and tho president, Mr K. M’lntoeh, was in the chair. The president and Mr J. W. Foster were, appointed delegates to the Agricultural Conference. Consideration of a proposal from the Timaru Agricultural and PastoraL Association that two members of the Board of Governors of Lincoln College should be elected by tho Agricultural and Pastoral Associations in North Canterbury and one by those in South Canterbury was deferred until the next meeting. Messrs G. Deal and I. Whitburn were elected members. On tho motion of the president, seconded by Mr T. Wyllie, it was resolved that hearty congratulations should be offered to tne Hon D. Buddo on liis elevation to tho Ministry. It was resolved to hold tho annual meeting of the Association, and a supper afterwards, on. the evening of May, 28, nominations of officers to close oil May 18. On the motion of Mr T. Wyllie, seconded by Mr J. Stevenson, it was resolved to hold a show of grain, seeds, roots, dairy and produce in conjunction with the North Canterbury Poultry Club’s show. Messrs C. Leech, J. W. Foster, A. S. Clarkson and T. Leech were appointed to act, with four delegates from the Poultry Club. Arrangements for the ploughing match were discussed, and tne president and Messrs H. H. Hudson, C. E. Skevington, James Wyllie, A. M’lntoeh F. E. Fairwoather and J. L. Wilson were elected a sub-committee to carry it out. The sum of £6 6a was voted towards the prize fund, which it was decided to raise by subscription.
