Mr J. H. Aitken, the secretary of the Christchurch Athletic Council, re--, coived a letter from the Auckland Cen--tro yesterday confirming the resolution passed at the conference of delegates held in Dunedii- recently. The opening run of the Ashburton Harriers' club took place on Thursday afternoon. The club assembled at the house of the Mayor of Ashburton,(Ml H.
