To-night will bo the last night of th'4, exhibition of oils and water-colour paintings, art and oraft work at tho Art Gallery. The general agent of the British and Foreign Bible Society will deliver a limelight lecture on the Society's work in South America at the Chamber of Cominarco on Thursday evening, at 7.30.

The anniversary services of the Papanui Methodist Church will be held tomorrow. The Rev C. H. Garland will preach in the morning, the Rev W. J. L. Closs in the afteri.oon, and tho Rov S. Law'ry in the evening. A lecture on health will be given tct ladies in the Town Hall, East Oxford, on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. > -
