NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS*] CLUB. The Cbristchurch Garrison Non-com-missioned Officers' Club held its annual meeting on Wednesday. SergeantMajor Hopkins presided, and there; were about forty members present. 1 The annual report stated that a decided improvement was noticeable inj the club, and it had had a very suo-j ceesful year. The balance-sheet showed; that tho assets exceeded the liabilities l by £l2O. I The report and balance-sheet were adopted. I A committee consisting of Quarter-master-Sergeant Lee, Colour-Sergeant Pratt, and Sergeant Matthews wa«j appointed to revise the rules of the; club, and add rules governing the man-j agement of the billiard-table. . Notice was given by Colour-Ser-geant Brooker of a motion to double the amount of tho annual subscrip-j tion. j The following office-bearers wera elected:—Patron, Lieutenant-Coload Hawkins; president, Sergeant-Major.
