THE WEATHER.

[Per Press Association.] WOODVILLE. April 22. A slip came down on the railway line in the Manawatu Gorge this morning, after the morning train to Palmerston got through. The slip delayed the midday and also the two o’clock train from Palmerston. The line was cleared about 4.30, which enabled passengers by both trains to reach Woodville station about live o’clock. A large number of passengers en route to Auckland had to wait at Wocdville until the line was cleared. Heavy rain for the past twenty-four hours has made the rivers rery high. A great body of water is loing down the Manawatu.
