“THERE’S A HOME FOR LITTLE CHILDREN.”
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—The above beautiful hymn was composed fifty years ago, and its composer, dear old Albert Midla.ne, a resident all his life, of Newport, Isle of Wight, has just passed peacefully away in his eighty-fifth year. May I, a native of the same island, and born within ten miles of Newport, suggest ,that this hymn be sung in the Anglican Cathedral and all other places of worship, once if not. twice, nest’ Sunday, in memory of the saintly old man, so that all, young and old, may think of him that day with thanksgiving for the beautiful soul-uplifting hymn be liae left all of us, young and old alike. I hope all Isle of Wighters will do their utmost to attend the Cathedral that day, on the chance of my suggestion being carried out.—l am, etc., LEONARD AY. BLAKE.
