PARISH MEETINGS.

ST AMBROSE’S, SHEFFIELD

The annual meeting of parishioners of St Ambrose’s Church, Sheffield, was held on Monday evening. There was a good attendance, and tho vicar, tlio Rev G/ F. Petrie, was in the chair. Reports were presented stating that the church was in a flourishing condition. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr G. F. Wright for bis able management of the Vicarage Fund, Mr G. Gray (honorary secretary), Mr T. L. Polo for his services as organist and choirmaster, the choir, SundaySchool teachers, and all who had supported tho church during tho year. The following officers were elected: —Vicar's warden, Mr Pole; people’s warden, Mr Cullen; vestry, Messrs TV. J. Jenkins, E. Jenkins, G. F. Wright, Appleby, Jackson, Gray, Townsend and G. H. Judd. After tho meeting closed, the ladies of the parish provided refreshments. ALL SAINTS’, METHVEN. The annual meeting of parisliionors of All Saints’ Church, Metbven, was held on Monday evening, the vicar, the Rev 11. York, in the chair. The vicar reviewed tho work of the past twelve months, and commented upon the increased attendance at both Highbank and Lyndhurst, saying that ho hoped to see churches built at both places before long. There was already about £l6O in hand for the Highbank church. Mr J. Can- read the balancesheet, which showed a surplus of £:2 15s on the year’s working, the local contributions during that period having amounted to £370. The following officers were elected :—Wardens, Messrs TV. Morgan and J. Carr; vestry. Messrs J. Hibbs, Charles Hibbs, C. May, C. T. Middleton, F. Horsfield, T. Doherty. C. H. E. Graham, A. K. Callaghan, TV. J. Dickie and TV. Cook.

ST PETER’S, SPRINGFIELD. The annual meeting of parishioners of St Peter’s Church, Springfield, was held on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance, and the vicar, tho Rev G. F. Petrie, presided. The report and statement of accounts, showing that, the past year had been satisfactory, were adopted. Votes of thanks were passed to the organist, the choir, the Sunday School teachers and other church-workers. The following officers were elected:—Warden, Mr Chesterfield (re-elected); vestry, Messrs Atkinson, Carter, Drummond, Foster, Irvine, Johnson, M’atier, Popple, Rutherford and Wallace. Refreshments were handed round during the meeting.
