SIR CHARLES LUCAS’S COLONIAL TOUR. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, February 8. A Colonial Office official, interviewed by a Press representative, said that Sir Charles Lucas’s coming visit was intended to bo the forerunner of others. Sir Charles would bo prepared to freely discuss every conceivable subject Ministers might desire to bo considered. After visiting Western Australia, Sir Charles Lucas would proceed to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney; Brisbane, Hobart, New Zealand and Fiji, and would probably return via Canada. It was expected that he would be absent for six months. Ail the details of his movements were left to his discretion. The Agents-General and the Hon W. Hall-Joues (High Commissioner for New Zealand) predict a. cordial welcome for Sir Charles Lucas and beneficial results from his visit.
