CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The engineer to the Board, in Ills annual report referring to the drains, said that the contractors were giving satisfaction, and that the system was well maintained. To say that the contractors were giving satisfaction to ■ the farmers in this district is most inaccurate and adding insult on the injruy inflicted by the Board on. this part of the district. No doubt the system, is well maintained, hut it is of the ' worst kind as far as the ratepayers are concerned.—l am, etc.. PHILIP TISCH. - Papanui, February 22.
