THE NEW SOUTH WALES RIFLE MEETING. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 13. v At the Rifle Association's meeting the King’s Prize was won by J. Hudson, of Victoria, with a total of 315 points, beating Stuart, of New South Wales, by five points. Corporal Edwards,. of New South Wales, won the grand aggregate match with a score of 578 points. THE CHAMPION SHIELD COMPETITIONS. On Saturday afternoon tho Senior and Junior Shield competitions of, tho Canterbury Rifle Association were continued. The weather conditions were somewhat trying, owing to tho north-west wind, and tho scoring was not high. Tho Engineers’ No. 1 team met and defeated tho City Guards in tho Senior Shield event, the Highland Rifles won from the Imperials, the City Rifles defeated tho Engineers’ No. 2 teom and the Linwood Rifles had a bye. For the Junior Shield the Cyclists won from the Sydenham Rifles and the College scored over the Civil Service, the latter team not putting in an appearance.
