ATHLETIC

Th© committee of the Civil Service Sports Club held a meeting last evening, Air J. E. Green presiding. Donations towards the prize fund were received from Alessrs Whitcomb e (president) and Alilfo. A communication from - the Dunedin Civil Service; Club with regard to the Civil Service Championship Tournament, to bo held on Boxing Day at the New Brighton Racecoarse was considered. It was decided that the programme should consist of the fifteen • events of the N.Z.A.A.A. championship programme, and several handicap races, the being open to all amateurs. Mr P. H. Stubberfield was elected a member of tho committee. Several bicycle races to be added to the club’s programme were arranged for.
