Colonel Murray Smith chased the Mtelis rebels across the Buffalo into Nortu. Several were lulled in crossing. Six surrendered, each of whom carried four assegais, and a shield. Eambaata and Siganandi have quarrelled. The former with a few followers entered the almost impenetrable Emono bush. Mr AYatty Minister of Justice, addressed two hundred and fifty native volunteer horse at Maritzburg. There is a growing impression that Eambaata wishes to leave tAo rebels in the lurch.
