The strikers at Ekaterinoslav erected barricades, and the Cossacks fired, killing and wounding a number. Anarchy prevails at Riga, and there are many bloody collisions. A railway cashier was murdered in the streets, and robbed of 24,000 roubles. A number of Government spirit shops were sacked. The Polish railwaymen have joined th© strike, and railway communication between Warsaw and St Petersburg has been stopped. Sir Charles Hardinge, tho British ambassador, is unable to leave St Petersburg by train, and awaits a steamer..
