[Pee Pbkss Association.] | AUCKLAND, October 26. Mrs John Driscoll, who was seriously burnt at her residence in Grey Street on Tuesday, died in the hospital last night. A sudden death occurred at Now Brighton, presumably early yesterday morning. James Peeio, aged fiftyeight, a maimed man, who was living with a relative named Hargreaves, was last seen alive at half-past ten' on Wednesday night, when he retired. At seven o'clock next morning, however, his body, fully dressed, was found lying in _ the kitchen. Dr Inglis was called in, and, although he had previously attended'' deceased, he could not give a certificate of death. It is supposed that Peele died from heartfailure. An inquest will be held at the Morgue this afternoon. An inquest'was held at the Morgue yesterday, before Mr H. W. Bishop, coroner, touching tho death of Daisy Elizabeth Buxton, aged twenty-six, a married woman residing at St Albans, who had died rather suddenly yesterday morning. Dr Inglis said that, from a post mortem examination, h© had found evidence of a rupture of a blood vessel on the surface of tho heart, which had filled the pericardium with! blood and had stopped the heart's action. The cause of death was hramo pericardium, rupture of a blood vessel on: the. heart. A servant employed by deceased gave evidence that Mrs Buxton's health, was poor, although she had not recently been attended by a doctor. On Wednesday night, at seven o'clock, she complained of a bad headache, and about nine o'clock she had severe pains in her throat. Shie was retelling, and complained of pains in the back. These , pains had continued till the morning, when she had died. She had had breakfast at eight, and half an hour later expired in bed. The jury returned a verdiet in accordance with the medical testimony.
