PRESENTATIONS.

Mr Q. N. Ormandy, who has resigned his assistant mastership at the East Christchurch School to take an appointment at the Papanui School, was the recipient of two presentations on Thursday last. The teachers, through Mr John Jamieson, chairman of the School Committee; presented Mr Ormandy with a travelling bag. The boys’ swimming class, of which Mr Ormandy was -instructor, and.the pupils under his care gave him a case of razors and a set of brushes, Mr E. B. Sapsford making the presentation. Both he and Mr Jamieson spoke appreciatively of Mr Ormandy’s earnest work, and wished him success in his new appointment.
