The Sydenham Bowling Club will open its season this afternoon. Exucrsion fares in connection with tea Bangiora Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s show are advertised in this ifisne. There will be a dedication festival at Et Luke’s Church to-morrow. Meetings of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Socialist Party will be held in the new rooms, 171, Manchester Street, on Monday evenings, at eight o’clock. Mr J. E. Johnson will read a paper on wool at a meeting of the Springoton branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Cnkm in the Springston Schoolroom at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday. The annual meeting of ratepayers of the Heathcote Road Board district will take place on November 1, at 7 p.m. The Christchurch Sailing Club intends opening the yachting season to-day with I handicap race for a prize offered by the Mayor.
