DUNEDIN" NOTES.
—4- —— [From Our Correspond3snt.] DUNEDIN, October 20. The laying of drains in Cargill Road will be begun next week. The work will absorb some seventy men, and, as there seems to be a reasonable prospect of the tramway construction works being resumed at an early date, the nnemployed difficulty so far as Dunedin is concerned may soon be ended. Forty entries have been received for the New Zealand Golf Championship, which will begin on the Otago Golf Club's links next Tuesday. The present holder of the title, Mr Kuruco Tareha,' of Napier, and three Maoris from Gisborne, are among the entrants. A Druidic choir is to be formed at Dunedin. The beautiful lyrics of the Ancient Order of Druid's have been set to new music recently, and to Brother Lemon, of the Otago Lodge, will fall the high honour of being the first Druid in New Zealand to officially interpret the music.
