Lewis and Uno Steliin, were! each fined £1 and £1 costs for trespassing on the Egmont Racing Club’s course. Frederick Spence, who did not appear, was fined £5 and costs. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, May 8. Mr W. J. Stratton, who has been acting as secretary to the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club during the illness of Mr F. D. Luclue, was to-day appointed permanently to the position, which was rendered vacant by Mr Luckie’a resignation. The Christchurch Racing Club’s Autumn Meeting will bo held at Plumpton to-day. The first race will start >at one o’clock, and a train will leave Christchurch for the course at halfpast txvolve.
