The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has received the following cable message from London -.—Canterbury mutton has declined one farthing. There has been. a. further fall in the values of lamb of both qualities. Quotations —Canterbury mutton 4£d, Napier,. Wellington and North Island 3|d. Lamb, first quality sd, second 4gd.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, hare received the following cable message from their London officet under date April 22:—Since our last telegram prices of low and inferior descriptions of tallow are unchanged. Other descriptions are lower by 3d" to 6d per cwt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from London, dated April 22:—Tallow—Fine mutton and good beef are worth respectively 31s 6d and 30s 9d per cwfc. There is no demand for edible sorts. The market for good mutton has a lower tendency,' while that for inferior is firm.
