SHEEP-DOG TRIAL CLUB.

A meeting of tho committee of the Christchurch Sheep Dog Trial Club, was held at tho Addington Saleyards. yesterday, •when there- were present—Mr'C. I'. Hugonin, in the chair, Captain : M'Lean, and Messrs W. W.-Morton, L. Wilson, G. Bisset, E. H. Hughes, T. Beadel,v E. Clarkson, A. W. .Bennetts and E. Hardcastle, honorary secretary/ An apology was received for the absence of Mr F. A. .Archer, who was unanimously re-elected chairman of the committee. A letter was read from Mr George Gould, accepting the presidency of the club. It was resolved that the annual trials should be held at Cashmere on May 23 and 29. The sa,me amount of prize-money as last year was allotted, to ,the huntaway and heading arid'yarding classes, with the addition of a three-guinea champion gold medal to the' former and a fiveguinea champion gold medal to the latter class. It was also decided to add a yarding Competition to the programme, post entries, for a sweepstakes of 5s each and £5 from the, funds of the club.. The Chairman reported that 200 Tekoa merino wethers had been purchased for the trial,, and that Mr M'ltae had kindly consented to graze the sheep on the run till they were required. Messrs Bisset and Wilson ,were re-apppinted collectors, and Messrs Hugonin,. Beadol, H..T." Little and Captain. M'Lean a Ground Committee. Various details were arranged in connection with the coming trials.
