Tho opening meet/of the Christchurch Hunt Club will take place on Saturday, strating from the Konr.els at 2.30 p.m. Tho club has recently appointed a new master, in 2\lv H. 11. Parkinson, and a special effort is -being-made this season to popularise tha sport. The prospects are very .bright at present. The member-ship lias been, considerably augmented, and there is every appearance of the meets being well attended. A largo number of invitations have been sent out'for Saturday's meet; and, altogether, it is believed that the opening run will be more than usually successful. Visitors from Christchurch, v/ho do not wish to ride, will find plenty of drag accommodation to convev them to the Kennels.
