MARKET REOPRTS.

HORSE SALES. There were only fifty-three horses entered at Tattersall’s on Saturday, including very few really good light, or, heavy animals. Pair draughts brought from £24 10s to £32, aged £l2 to £2O, best light harness horses £l6 to £25, good £ll to £ls, and light hacks £5 to £lO. ( PIGS AND POULTRY. The yardings of both pigs and poultry were but small at Saturday’s markets owing to the rough weather of the previous day, but fair sales resulted. In pigs fair stores brought 11s to 16s, and smaller sorts 8s to 10s 6d. In poultry, roosters made 2s 6dl to 4s 9d, pullets 2s 9d to 4s, hens 2s 6d bo 3s 9d, ducks 4s 3d to 4s 9d. all at per pair. METHVEN. The usual monthly sale was held at Methven on Thursday. There was a poor entry of stock, and several lines were passed. Hoggets sold from 9s 3d to 11s sd, ewes with lambs at foot, all counted, 6s TdS, and) fat wethers 16s 9d. After the stock sale a number of lots of sundries were disposed of. r COALGATE. The Coalgate monthly market was held on Friday, when, owing to. the weather, the entry consisted of only about 600 sheep and a 'few cattle and pigs. The attendance was also 1 very limited. Freezing sheep comprised one line of 190, account Sir J. Hall, i which, after spirited bidding, sold at 19s Id. The other sales were:—2l2 half-bred wethers and 1 hoggets, account Messrs W. and G. Hall, at 10s; 50 aged'ewes, with ai few lambs, 4s 64; 20 fat cross-bred'ewes 16s 6d. A line of 109 aged cross-bred ewes, with 100 per cent lambs, were passed at 6s’ 3d, all counted. The cattle and pigs sold at rates equal to Addington. , ; PROPERTY SALES. On Saturday Messrs Pyne and Co* held a sale of properties, when the following business was transacted: —In the estate of the. lata Mr L, H. Lane, they sold the Deepdene farm, of 120 acres, to Mr F. Busch, of Ranglora, at £2O per acre. Ini the estate of the late Mrs Catherine Stevens, they sold 20 acres, at Broadfields, to Mr T. Harti'gan, at £24 per acre, and 30 acres adjoining to Messrs Gallagher Bros, at £l3 10s per acre. Tonka, Norton and Co. offered several properties on Saturday, and sold the following in the estate of the late Mr Moses Scott:—Quarter-acre' on Ensors Road, Opawa, with four-roomed cottage, at £360; andaquartcrucrein the Little River township to Mr H. White, for £l3. Mr John Small, of Wheatstone, Ashburton County, has sold his six-year-old draught stallion Lord Yanley for 190 gs, at Auckland'.
