RICKARDS’S COMPANY.
To-night, at the Opera House, Mr Harry Rickard’s vaudeville season will be inaugurated, and there is every reason to anticipate a very successful season. The company is undoubtedly ai strong one. The Jackson quartet of instrumentalists, Messrs Derenda and Breen, club jugglers, and Fagan and Byron give entirely new acts and all make their first appearance in ’Christchurch. Air J. W. Winton, with his irrepressible automaton, “AlcGinty,” provides a highly amusing and clever entertainment. Miss Neva’ CarrGlynn (contralto) is well-known, in Australia; the ‘'perfected” Bioscope is said to be the best of its kind; the Sisters Clarence, serio-comic singers and dancers, and Aliss Jennie Opie complete a strong combination.
