FIRES.
[Per Press Association.] HOKITIKA, Sept. 27. An incipient fire was discovered shortly after eleven last night in Easterbrook’s drapery shop, Revell Street. The flames were promptly subdued, but a room was gutted. The furniture and stock, which were insured in the Imperial Office for £l5O, were damaged by water. The building, which was insured for £l5O in the Victoria Office, was only slightly injured 1 .
