[Pse Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Sept. 27. Mr J. A. Scott, a lawyer, intends to oppose Mr Allen for Bruce, in tie Liberal and Prohibitionist interest. In reply to the largely-signed requisition presented to him a week or two ago, Mr T. H. Davey has announced his intention of being a candidate for one of the Christchurch seats at the forthcoming general election. Mr Davey will take an early opportunity of laying his views before the electors. Mr A. W. Rutherford will continue his addresses to electors of the Hurunui district this week. On Thursday evening he will speak at Waikari, on Friday at Hawarden, and on Saturday at the Peaks. On the following Monday he will hold a meeting in the Hurunui Schoolroom, and the next night will be at Medbury.
