, ♦ The annual meeting of the Akaroa Boating Club was held on Thursday, the captain, Mr Sv E. Wolfreys, in the chair, and there was a large attendance. The re* port and balance-sheet showed a total income of £96 17s 9d, and expenditure £9’? 5s Id; amount of assets over. liabilities* £278 8s 6d. The report and balance-sheet! I were adopted. The following officers w«i ‘ elected! for the coming season;—Patron—Mr R. H. Rhodes, M.H.R.; presw dent, Mr B. Baxter; vice-presidents* Messrs E. E. Lelievre and W. H. Henning; captain, Mr A. E. M’Gregor; vice- ; captain, Mr G. Whelch; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr C. W. Leete; assistant honorary secretary, Mr F. M’Cullough; committee, Messrs C. Goodwin, AGray,. E. F. Lelievre, P. Lynskey, F. Michell, O. 'Newton and J. Woodill. Captain Wolfreys was elected a life-member.' The President stated his intention of again presenting a trophy of the value of 2gs to be rowed for. Mr Henning suggested thatr as the Easter regatta had been so successful, a minor one should be held on that, date again, in addition to the regular regatta 00 Dec. 16. '
