DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.

The new artists,-Miss Maud Hewson and Mr James .Williams, again secured recalls last night, at the Opera House. Miss Hewson possesses a particularly pleasing .contralto voice, and Mr Williams’s bassopvofundo was heard to advantage in “ Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep” and “The Miner.” Little Tich made his re-appear-ance and had evidently lost none of his popularity. Owing to his continued indisposition, he was unable to respond to a very decided second encoi'e. Mr Alf. Monk made a good impression. Mss Irene Franklin and the other members of the company met with all their usual -success. The Cake Walk continues to bo a popular item, the vicissitudes of that deiapidated cake being followed with interest..
