' The " Post' this evening stated: " Tho Premier, it is rumoured, during his visit to England, made arrangements for re-insur-mcewith foreign companies, but since then the leading British offices have informed those offices that 'theyl will not have any transactions with them while such an arrangement remains in force. This, it is said, tvill result in the foreign offices breaking off the treaty, and Mr Seddon would have to elsewhere for his re-insurance." The Premier, on his attention being called to the paragraph, assured- me that there is not the slightest foundation for ,it. 'He made no such arrangement, and (what-in more, he is sure the colony is quite strong taough to meet any emergency.
