John Kollock, a well-known old resident ©f Hokitika, died yesterday from paralysis. Dr L. Lindsay was among the passengers who arrived in Christchurch by the express last evening. The Revs J. D. Russell and Gibbs, Captain Bourne, Messrs J. W. Thomson, T. C. Donne and Commissioner Tunbridge, left for Wellington by the s.s Taluao last 'night. Mr W. Fraser, M.H.R., and Messrs W. H. Caw, F. M’Lean and E. M’Donaid were among the passengers who went south by yeSterdayday’s express train.
