CANTERBURY BOWLING CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Canterbury Bowling Club was held last evening, Mr W. Jacques, the vice-president, da the chair. The Treasurer reported receipts amounting to £220 3s 4d, and assets of the value of £lO6 11s lid, and an expenditure of £225 15s lOd, with liabilities of £lO6 lla lid. He considered the club was iu a much better condition than at the corresponding time last year, but remarked, amidst many other things, which seemed to prove its truth, that the ‘‘c uh was the bast mismanaged one in few::.” The balance-sheet was adopted, after an, amendment was lost to the effect that ! ' e meeting adjourn until a revised balance-sheet be prepared. The following officers were elected i—Mr W. Jacques, president; Mr C, Duggan, vice-president; Mr H, Hellyer, secretary ; Mr J. Gregg, treasurer. Messrs Gee, Thompson, Marriott, Neave and Barlow were elected a General Committee, and Messrs Duggati and Gee a Ground Committee. The date’ of the opening of the season was left iu the- hands of the commit-"*. The meeting then closed.
