THURSDAY COMPETITION. A match was started yesterday between the Post and Telegraph and Drapers’ teams. The former team was disposed of for 116 runs, and the Drapers lost three wickets for 88. For the Post and Telegraph Fairbourne 69, Ford 13, P. Mansell 12, Burke 10, Sigley 10, scored double figures. For the Drapers, Brennan 28, H. Voyca 29, T. Voyoe 15 not out, were the highest scorers. Brennan, for the Draper, took five wickets. The general meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association, called for last evening, lapsed for want of a quorum. Only eight were present, and an attendance of twelve was required.
