' RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Monday. Little work of interest was accomplished' to-day , Cutts commenced by despatching Glenalada/le for a couple of circuits on.the plough, the last at a useful pace. Scrawled alone ran a strong mile, and a quarter, while Glenogie executed a similar task Over six furlongs. Cannie Chiel, Gttldenmere, and Windwhistle separately did useful pacing. Terrawho. is looking bright and well, galloped a mile, the last .seven furlongs occupying lßiin 38sec. Calibro and Military put in a working gallop over five furlongs, tho pair moving very freely, especially the former, who' appears to be in capital buckle. Jibbocm was better than Bill Malone over four furlongs, run in 51Jsec, on the grass. Female Franchise moved pleasingly over Seven furlongs, on the plough, the last five occupying linin 7sec. She is apparently very well. Paladin broke away at the mile post, and was joined by Strathnairn'at the six-furlong mark. The pair raced homte together, the latter having much tho best of the spin at the finish. The last seven furlongs were run in Imin 33?ec. Tho Midsummer Handicap candidate was. fully extended. Fashion, looking well, finished strongly over the last part of a steady round, while his stable companion, West Guard, was given a light task., Hermosa, with a light weight up, ran seven furlongs, the la-st "six taking lmin 20sec. Tremor was better than Battler in a five-furlong spin, which was run in lmin Gsec on the grass. Cora Lir.n and Skipper, separately, brushed over the last four furlongs of a steady circuit. Amongst those who did strong to medium pacing were Dundas, Benzoin, Rougemont, Clandsboye, Cadet, Antigone, Proposal, Dundee, Redan, Golden Rulo, Ladykiller, Hypnotist and Cameo, while Huku, Hawthorn, Margot, St Ronald Mid ■Scottish Minstrel were allotted light tasks. After breakfast Bonaparte, Derry and the Son-of-a-Gun—Tired filly separately did strong pacing, while Battery, Yseult, Romany and. a few others were given light tasks. D. Roberts has engaged three boxes, and is expested from Racecourse Hill in .the course of a few days.
