United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. STOCK RETURNS. (Received 'Feb. 10, 4.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb, 10. The stock in the colony on Jan. 1 was as follows :—Horses 443,500 (decrease of 6500, compared wita previous year), cattle 1,816,000 (increase 13,500), sheep 39,938,000 (increase 3,724,600). The decrease in horses is principally due to the exports for army purposes, and the increase in cattle and, sheep to Ifche 'better season and improved prices. Lambing returns show the lambs brought to" the (market last year were 8.738,000, averaging- 67 l-6th, against 5,717,000; ■ averaging 45. l-6ch in 1899, though the increase in breeding* ewes was
