According to the “ Daily Telegraph,” Mr Se-t Woo, speaking on hoard the Sierra, referred to the magnificent enterprise which had resulted in fine vessels being placed in the trade between America and Australia. As the head of the Government, ho declared there was room for all, though it could not be expected that ha would help another service which might injure the colony or the company so long identified with it. If the Messrs Rpreckels kept on on fair and legitimate grounds they would be sure of good treatment, but the moment anything was done unfriendly to his colony or the nation, he- would resent it in a way that would not be forgotten.
