PRESENTATIONS.

A social gathering of officers and teacher? of the North Canterbury Methodist Sunday School Union was held at the Durham Street Schoolroom on Thursday evening, when there were about 120 present. An excellent musical programme was provided by Misses Coleman, Collier, Dowle, Duncan and Wykes, and Messrs Slater and Turner. Advantage was taken of the occasion to make a presentation to Mr J. A. Flesher, who for some years past has acted as secretary, in honour of his recent marriage and as a merk of appreciation of services rendered to the Union. Mr W. H. Bower (president) made the presentation, which consisted of a handsome marble clock suitably engraved.
