Purse—Helpmate, runner-up Harold. ■ Plate—Dandenong Ranger, runner-up Goldspur. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, June 17. Unsettled weather has prevented solid training work being done in preparation for the steeplechase meeting next week. The grass gallop was thrown open for the first time this morning. Nearly all the outside competitors have now , arrived. Kanaka, Nor’-west, Blackberry, Gorse and Tataramoa are all going really well, and their work this morning pleased the touts very much.. The weather now appears settled.
