[Prom Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, May 22,

There is considerable commotion in Labour circles over the vote of no confidence in Mr John- Hutcheson, senior member for Wellington, passed by the Workers' Union the other evening, and efforts are being made by some of his principal supporters to form a rival Union of Independent Workers. Mr Ruddick, dairy commissioner, will attend the Canterbury Winter Show on June 17, and address a meeting on general dairy , topics. He will also meet the milk producers of Akaroa on June 20.

It has been arranged that after visiting Duh.edin, Wyndhamy Invercargill, Christchurch and Akaroa, Mr .J. A." Ruddick, Government dairy commissioner, will hold a series of meetings at the chief centres in the North Island, where papers will be read and discussed relating to various branches of the dairy industry, but the dates have not yet been fixed.
