ROAD BOARDS.

' MOUNT HUTT. The usual monthly meeting of this Board was held on Thursday at the Board’s office ; present —Messrs Morgan, M'Farlane and Drummond; It was decided to call for tenders for one thousand yards of shingle for the Alford Forest Road, and to put on teams to repair race crossings. It was decided to hold. 'the annual meeting on Monday, May. 2, - and the election on May 5. Mr Wallace, wrote relative to the crossing at his water-race. It was decided to do the work; arid-to request Mr Wallace to clean out his race. Mr T. Dent wrote asking that his name ;be put on the rate-roll in place of. Mr J., Dent. It was agreed to, subject to. the rates’ being paid. Mr Murray-Aynsley wrote that the road to his land should be improved. The matter was left in the hands, of; Mr M’Farlane and the Clerk'. The following' tenders were accepted : —Mr J. Devoryi for ploughing and levelling the roadsides,. at 9d per chain; MrF! Betts, painting buildings, ; £24 ; Messrs Stoba and Rands, for to £3B 17S were passed for payment and the Board rose.' ■-•■■-. ■>
