ASSESSMENT COURT.

Mr H. W. Bishop sat at the Hunmui Rabbit Board Office, Culverden, yesterday, to hear and determine objections to Land tax assessments in the Amuri County. Mr A. P. O’Callaghan, Supervising Valuer, and Mr A. J. O’Callaghan, Valuer, were present on behalf of the Department. The following applications were taken : —Waiau Riding : Thomas Chapman, Mount Palmer, 7770 acres, capital value £19,661, value of improvements £4141 ; capital value altered to £19,961 and improvements to £4841. J. H. Davidson, 2569 acres, part of St Leonards Estate, capital value £3789; struck out. The following were unsupported and were struck out:—F. H. Wilson 3465 acres, £4152; Edgar Jones, 309 acres, £739; do, 676 acres, £2706; A. M’Donald, 10 acres, £l3B, 15 acres, £llO, 1 acre, £7B, 1 acre, £9O, 1 acre, £3BO, 20 acres, £SO. Pahau Riding: F. H. Wilson, 11,282 .acres, £32,245, struck out. J. H. Davidson, 11,419 acres, St Leonards, £6764, do, 3237 acres, £5772, objections withdrawn. Trustees of the late Richard Bethel (per J. J. Thompson), 2319 acres, £8044, 336 acres, £4817, revised values accepted, objections struck but. ' " Hantiier Biding: J.
