Advices are to hand that General Kitchener made a triumphal entry into Berber, amidst great rejoicings, TVfnh-miid and two thousand prisoners following in the procession. Slafciin Bey, who was so long a prisoner in Mahdist hands, reminded Mahmud 1 of their meetings in former years., Mabmud replied, “Wait until ym reach Khartoum.”
