MIDLAND YARDS. There were about 2500 sheep at ,tha Midland Yards yesterday, the bulkr of which were forward stores. Fat wethers and lambs fit for export met with a good sale, but there wasno demand for butchers* ewes. Freezing lambs brought up tolOs 6d, butchers’ sorts 7s to Bs, freezing wethers 12s Id to 12s Bd, factory rejects 9s, and a line of very forward turnip wethers 9s sd; others not quite so {food 8a 4d. Several lines were withdrawn at 8s 4d and 8s sd.

OXFORD. At the Oxford market yesterday about 7000 sheep were yarded. The attendance of buyers was small, and in the face of the / continued dry weather very few felt inclined to fill up their requirements. Competition was slack for all classes of sheep.! Of the forward wethers, the bulk of theentry was withdrawn, and there was little or up demand, for turnip sheep. Several lots of backward wethers changed hands at 4s-6d to 7s 4d; of breeding ewes, which wereof an inferior class, there werefew saieszitade. Sound mouthed ewes sold at from 3sto-4al; merinp do. Yesterday a sale was held on account of Mr W. B. Scott at West Melton. The farm .of 150 acres was put up and withdrawn, but all the stock, both live and dead, was solctafc very satisfactory prices. _ :
